As far back as I can remember I suffered from depression and suicidal ideations. I would cry myself to sleep and experience seasons of deep sadness usually manifesting itself as rage. In the 90’s the pill mills were cashing in, and doctors were writing scripts for pain medicine like it was candy. I watched many friends succumb to addiction to the very strong opioids that the media deemed as non-addictive. As the years were not easy on me, I dabbled in some of these “medicines” only to find myself empty and not any better. I began to research alternative medicines like marijuana, mushrooms, and ayahuasca. I found that the benefits of these medicines used properly have found great success in treating pain, suffering and mental blocks. I am fascinated by how nature provides everything we need. I found success in these alternative methods and found much peace and healing through these journeys.
Peyote is used by Native American tribes to heal various types of physical and spiritual ailments. Peyote is considered sacred and used in rituals to commune with god, receive spiritual powers, guidance, reproof, and healing. Many journey to Peyote ceremonies to find new enlightenment.
"magic mushrooms" have been around for centries and have been used to treat a range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, addictions, OCD, and psychosis.
Many venture to Ayahuasca Ceremonies and treatment centers all over the world to experience psychodynamic effects that contribute to important therapeutic outcomes by finding significant aspects of ones past, elevating repressed memories into consciousness where they can play a role in psychological healing guided by a "medicine man" that opens a window into our minds eye.
